We are so excited to share with you this new, exciting path we’re on with our new OBS project, Rei {pronounced RAY}. Japanese for zero (think ground zero), we view this project as a fresh start with a truck that we are excited to accomplish one major goal with: have FUN doing what we love in the world of motorsports – and help bring others into the community by learning, progressing and simply having a blast on the track.

Rei is the beginning of a new season at Level 7 Motorsports and we are thrilled to share installment videos along the way that will show you how we’re taking this ’96 GMC Sierra, which already sports a spirited drivetrain (turbo LS / T56), and bring the suspension, brakes, chassis, steering, seats, and safety up-to-speed.

Believe it or not, we picked this truck up with a personal loan and are going to do our best to stick to a budget, just like many of you at home, as well as partner with some amazing companies that have great quality parts that are available to the DIY, garage builder. And we’ll show you how to properly install and use them in real world scenarios.

This truck will lean heavily into the spirit we started Level 7 with: making the best of the parts you can in the garage and having the most fun possible with friends at the track.

We are super excited about the energy Rei has already brought into the shop. We appreciate everyone of you who supports our dream to create amazing, high-quality builds for our customers and understands our desire to build a down and dirty race truck that we can autocross, drift, and road race as a team with our friends.
