Tim’s 84 Square
Vehicle Type:
84 C10
As with almost every project, there seems to be a bit of a snow ball effect. Tim called last year and said, “Hey I would like to order Ridetech suspension for my 84 C10.” After a 20 minute conversation about what he wanted to do with the truck it was clear that he needed to step up to a full chassis. The No Limit Engineering chassis made more sense from its better handling, modernized steering, and overall ride quality. Once we ordered the chassis we talked about helping with some sheet metal work and mocking up some portions of the truck. He was going to put a 496 BBC with a 4L80E in for the power train…. After a number of conversations the plans have changed.
Details:
The chassis is here at the shop and we have installed twin 340lph fuel pumps in the No Limit engineering fuel tank, mounted the P/S cooler, plumbed the fuel system for 900-1000hp, and mocked up all of our Wilwood brakes. Don Hardy is building is a 416cu in LSA engine topped with a 2.9L Whipple supercharger. The built 4L80E will still be installed but this time with a 3.5″ carbon fiber driveshaft.
Tim is bringing the body down in a couple weeks so that we can get started on this build. We want to thank Kasey Harris for painted a picture with his rendering.
